The Australian guitar making school in tropical North Queensland is situated in Belgian Gardens, an inner suburb of Townsville.
Instructor – Joel Dubbeld
The school operates out of an old grain storage shed, tucked behind the Studio Dubbeld building, an old WW2 Quonset hut and local landmark.
Joel Dubbeld’s background is fine woodwork. Trained as a cabinetmaker, Joel has run his own business for the last 13 years, specialising in custom solid timber furniture.
It was here that he developed his love for teaching and building stringed instruments.
